Products Served: EAS provides confidential assessments, short-term counseling and referral programs for employees and their household members. It is a free benefit for these employees/ family members provided by the employer or municipality. Basic Services include: 1. Consultation with, training of, and assistance to work organization leadership (managers, supervisors, and union stewards) seeking to manage the troubled employee, enhance the work environment, and improve employee job performance; and outreach to and education of employees and their family members about availability of EAP services. 2. Confidential and timely problem identification/assessment services for employee clients with personal concerns that may affect job performance. 3. Use of constructive confrontation, motivation, and short-term intervention with employee clients to address problems that affect job performance. 4. Assistance to work organizations in providing support for employee health benefits covering medical and behavioral problems, including, but not limited to alcoholism, drug abuse, and mental and emotional disorders. 5. Identification of the effects of EAP services on the work organization and individual job performance. 6. Provide response to critical incidents in the workplace and on-site counseling. 7. Assist the work organization with various compliance issues (the Drug-Free Workplace Act and Department of Transportation). Central elements are alcohol and drug testing, Substance Abuse Professional counseling services for detected abusers. Other unrelated compliance issues include Sexual Harassment Prevention trainings.

CRITICAL INCIDENT STRESS MANAGEMENT (CISM)
Employees involved in serious workplace incidents often experience emotional and physical symptoms affecting their work or return to work. A structured process of education and consultation will assist in easing the trauma and help to return personal control to the affected employee. Preparation for key personnel plus this "debriefing" component are part of Employee Assistance Services’ comprehensive CISM services.  These sessions are also valuable when a major workplace change will be occurring.  Available to contracted clients at no charge and to others
at $250 per on-site hour for training plus mileage.   

EMPLOYEE ORIENTATION

Employees may not fully understand the connection between the EAP and their own needs for assistance. This orientation will help employees quickly understand the risks associated with personal problems which may be negatively impacting their work performance and describe how the EAP may help. This information emphasizes employees' self-help for previously ignored or covered-up problems that tend to get worse over time without treatment.  Available to contracted clients at no charge as part of your contracted service.
 

SUPERVISOR/MANAGEMENT TRAINING

Formal training sessions for supervisors, managers, and key leadership will clearly define respective roles and aid in facilitating referrals to the EAP to support positive change in employees with personal and job related problems.  Available to contracted clients at no charge as part of your contracted service.  
 

MANAGEMENT CONSULTATION

General guidance is provided on the management of employee performance problems, substance abuse identification and intervention, EAP referrals, conflict resolution, downsizing support, and assistance with design, implementation, operation, evaluation and modification of the EAP.  The EAP is part of your overall
behavioral risk management team.  Available to contracted clients at no charge as part of your contracted service. 

TOPICAL SEMINARS
Seminars are typically one hour in length and may be customized to cover unique topics of concern to a company's employees. Seminars may include such topics as stress management, parenting skills, or communication skills, etc.  Some are offered at the EAS offices, other can be offered on-site for employers with
a minimum of 6 attendees.  EAS contracted clients receive up to 2 one-hour workshops at no charge during a calendar year.  The fee for a contracted agency which has used their allotted workshop time is $50.00 per hour for additional trainings.  Non-contracted organizations may choose from the same trainings and workshops at $250 per on-site hour plus mileage. 


VIOLENCE PREVENTION CONSULTATION AND TRAINING

Preventing employee violence is the best approach to this increasingly disturbing trend and workplace risk. Employee Assistance Services brings the latest information and training to help prevent and manage workplace violence.  Available to contracted clients at no charge and to others
at $250 per on-site hour for training plus mileage.  Consultations prior to presentation are charged at $50 per hour plus mileage for non-contracted employers.

 

DRUG-FREE WORKPLACE TRAINING AND CONSULTATION
Employers with federal contracts or workers covered by the Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations who are required to implement policies and guidelines to comply with the Drug-Free Workplace Act can receive support from Employee Assistance Services. Employee Assistance Services can assist an employer by providing supervisory training pertaining to identification of substance abuse and intervention techniques as well as policy development and implementation.  Available to contracted clients at no charge and to others
at $250 per on-site hour for training plus mileage.  Consultations prior to presentation are charged at $50 per hour plus mileage for non-contracted employers.


ON-LINE HEALTH & WELLNESS
at www.lifehub.com (available only to contracted organizations).  For just $2 per employee per year, each contracted employer will receive a unique UserID as well as a Password to distribute to their employees. Access is available 24/7/365 from any computer worldwide.  Articles will answer many questions and concerns people have about various life issues.  There is also a series of Supervisory and Leadership Training modules.  When an employee participates in these learning modules, they can be identified through a special sign-in code in order to receive “credit” for taking the courses.  Otherwise, all access is totally confidential.
