Plattsburgh Autism Alliance is informal nonprofit organization dedicated to uniting the autism resources in the local region in an effort to provide a centralized resource. We are also dedicated to raising autism awareness, providing educational materials, fund raising, giving hope to parents and letting them know that autism is treatable.
There is a listing of recommended reading, autism news feeds, Autism graphics for your websites and blogs, videos, articles from various sources, links to other autism websites, and a service directory (small but growing) which offer you a comprehensive list of area resources available to you, listings of local events and an online support group.
All the content you see is absolutely free, no membership is required. Registration for the site is only required for those that wish to add content. If you are interested in submitting articles, news releases on autism or other developmental disabilities, or wanting to inform the public of any related events, please contact us.
Early recognition of developmental disabilities such as autism is key for parents and providers. CDC realized the impact on families and invested in a campaign to help parents measure their children's progress by monitoring how they play, learn, speak and act.
